Why It Matters

A Clean Filter Is a Healthy Pool

Dirty DE and cartridge filters strain your pump, cloud your water, and shorten equipment life. Salt cells caked with calcium scale produce less chlorine, leading to algae and chemistry imbalances. Regular deep cleaning is the most cost-effective maintenance you can do.

Our R.A.I.L.-licensed technicians perform full disassembly, rinse, degrease, and reassembly — leaving your filter performing like new. Salt cells receive a professional acid wash to dissolve calcium buildup and restore chlorine output.

DE Filter

Diatomaceous Earth Filter

DE filters use fossilized diatom powder over grids to capture particles as small as 3–5 microns — the finest filtration available. Grids need periodic deep cleaning to maintain peak flow and clarity.

Cartridge Filter

Cartridge Filter

Cartridge filters trap particles in pleated polyester fabric at 10–15 microns. They require no backwash but need thorough cleaning to prevent channeling and maintain water quality.

Fareed and his team is by far the best pool cleaner in all of DFW. Finding a reliable pool cleaner is one of the most challenging things for a pool owner. Nortex Pool Cleaners is my 4th company in a 6 year period and hopefully the last. My last company would come out for 5 minutes max and claim that they spent at least 30 minutes cleaning my pool when my house is wired up with cameras everywhere confirming their lies. Hire Fareed immediately if you want a reliable pool cleaner who does what he says he will do!!!!

I don’t write many reviews this detailed, but Fareed and NorTex Pools have earned one. I recently completed a very large, highly customized pool in Frisco, roughly 35,000–36,000 gallons with a spa, multiple pumps, water features, automation, lighting, a grotto, slide, and a fairly complex Jandy/iAquaLink equipment setup. After the construction process, I decided I wanted an independent company to handle the ongoing maintenance rather than simply staying with the builder. I contacted several companies, and Fareed came out to look at the pool and give me a quote. What was supposed to be a normal estimate turned into one of the most impressive service visits I’ve had from any contractor. Before I had agreed to hire him, Fareed spent a tremendous amount of time walking the entire pool, reviewing the equipment, explaining how everything worked, troubleshooting issues, and helping me understand several things that had never been properly explained during construction. He helped diagnose recurring iAquaLink connectivity problems, worked through the Wi-Fi setup, discussed the automation and RS-485 communication system, explained how additional valve actuators could improve independent control of my water features, looked at my cleaner setup, pointed out concerns with the grotto operation, reviewed the new plaster, and helped me better understand what was normal and what still needed attention. None of that was required for him to give me a maintenance quote. He simply saw things that needed attention and started helping. That first visit told me a lot about the kind of person and business owner he is. Since taking over the pool, the level of personal attention has continued. Fareed does not treat the pool like a 10-minute “dump chemicals and leave” stop. He takes the time to test the water properly, document the chemistry, inspect the equipment, clean the pool thoroughly, check baskets, monitor filter pressure, and provide before-and-after photos along with a complete Pool Brain report. I also appreciate that he actually explains what the numbers mean. After seeing how my large pool was consuming chemicals between weekly visits, he walked me through why a second chemistry-only visit might make sense rather than simply dumping a large amount of chemicals into the pool once a week. He is looking at the pool as a system and trying to keep it stable, not just make it look good for the day he is there. He has also gone beyond routine maintenance. He added and programmed an automatic-fill timer so I no longer have to constantly monitor the water level myself, adjusted circulation issues, helped me understand the spa jets, and has been proactive about identifying things that can be improved before they become bigger problems. Another thing that stands out is accessibility. If I have a question, I can text or call Fareed directly. He responds, explains what he is seeing, and never makes me feel like I am bothering him. That level of owner involvement is becoming very rare. Most importantly, I feel like I now have someone who is actually looking after the pool. There is a big difference between hiring someone to clean a pool and hiring someone who understands the chemistry, equipment, automation, circulation, plaster, and overall operation of a sophisticated pool and takes personal responsibility for keeping it right. That is what I have experienced with Fareed and NorTex Pools. If you have a large or complicated pool, or if you are simply tired of rushed service and never knowing who is going to show up each week, I would strongly recommend talking with Fareed. His knowledge, attention to detail, communication, documentation, and personal involvement have been exceptional. I interviewed multiple companies before making my decision, and I am extremely glad I chose NorTex Pools

Fareed was great had a green pool 2 other companies couldn't fix it and he was able to get all the algae taken care of. We do weekly 45 minute sessions and my family gets to enjoy the pool every day!
Fareed and his team were great. They installed a new heater for our hot tub within a couple of hours. He explained the process, installed, tested it and showed us how to work it. He also helped us troubleshoot some other minor pool issues. Will be keeping his number on speed dial for any future issues. 👍

Nortex Pools did an excellent job replacing my old Pentair white pool and spa lights with Jandy LED color lights. Fareed replaced the lights, tested them and showed me exactly how to switch between colors and modes. He even made sure everything is ready to be installed properly after the plaster crew finishes plastering the pool tomorrow, Very professional and knowledgeable. highly recommended for pool light replacement and LED upgrades

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Weekly Pool Cleaning FAQ

Weekly. In the Texas heat a pool can slide from clear to cloudy in a matter of days, because warm water burns through chlorine fast and algae grows quickest right when you most want to swim. Weekly visits keep the chemistry ahead of the weather instead of chasing it.
Weekly maintenance is our main service, but yes, we take one-time jobs too: filter cleanings, salt cell cleanings, and green-to-clean recoveries. Plenty of our weekly customers actually started with a one-time visit to get the pool back in shape first.
Frisco, Texas. That’s it, on purpose. The Hills of Kingswood, Phillips Creek Ranch, Newman Village, Starwood, Richwoods, Stonebriar, and every neighborhood in between. A tight route means we show up when we say we will.
Every visit runs at least 30 minutes. We clean the pool, balance the water chemistry, inspect the equipment, and make sure the water is actually safe to swim in before we leave. You also get your assigned technician’s direct line for questions between visits.
